Boleh Ke Kita Latih Anak Kita Untuk Jadi Doktor ke..Engineer ke..Boleh ke?

Salam all mommies,

Panjang tak panjang tajuk hari ni memang saja nak pening-pening lalat.

Mohon maaf, saya tak ingat nama dia, tapi my hubby agak maybe bekas Pengarah di UiTM Jengka tempat saya belajar dulu.

Beliau mempunyai 2 orang anak perempuan (seingat saya, maaf lagi), beliau dah target...beliau nak anak beliau seorang jadi Surgeon (Pakar Bedah) dan seorang jadi Engineer macam beliau.

Kemahiran pun kita boleh bekalkan based on perancangan kita.

Tapi in this Prof Ir. case, saya rasa dia cuma usaha sedaya yang dia mampu, but he's lucky that memang didikan beliau tu anak dia boleh terima.

Macam kes Cik.najihah, she loves animal so much, she even got a children ensyclopedia pasal animals (just untuk tengok gambar and sometimes jadi modal bedtimestory). So ni ada harapan jadi zoologist ke? Doc Vet? ntahla.. I'll just go along, sebab minat dia mungkin berubah juga. Bila dia da besar sikit baru boleh  nampak her real directions.kan?

p/s: sorry sebab tak provide sumber cerita yang proper, ceramah tu dah lama..dalam 10 years ago jugak..huhu...lupa sudah

Dugaan Jadi Life Guard Ketika Berpuasa

Cuaca redup, nampak hujan macam nak turun..tak panas.

Tarawih bersama Najihah

Ni cerita tarawih pertama najihah, semalam. Persediaan ibu sebelum pergi;

Sembahyang Isyak berjemaah – OK

Sembahyang Tarawih- kurang OK

(Najihah pandai bawa diri, turun tangga masjid nak pi join abang dan kakak kecil bermain. Ibu panik sebab tepi-tepi masjid tu gelap..takut nanti najihah jatuh dalam longkang ;p )

Aktiviti Menyelamat

Kalau jalan jauh say 4 to 5 hours punya journey, apa aktiviti yang biasanya mommies buat untuk mengisi kebosanan diri..anak-anak? Yelah, budak-budak kalau duduk dalam kereta (ruang tertutup) ni biasanya jadi bosan kan.
Kalau boleh kita tak nak pemanduan suami terganggu dengan kebosanan anak-anak ni, jadi saya senaraikan disini beberapa aktiviti yang saya sendiri biasa buat;

1- Baca buku bersama
Carschooling along the way. Tapi aktiviti ni pun kadang anak-anak jadi bosan juga, apatah lagi kalau baca buku yang sama 4-5 kali.so, kena tambah alternatif lain.

2.Berzikir dan menyanyi nursery rhymes
Kanak-kanak biasanya memang suka, kalau contoh nak nyanyi nursery rhymes macam lagu 'If you happy and you know, you..' nah..disitulah keseronokan aktiviti bermula sebab kita boleh letak macam-macam gerakan yang kelakar.

Kalau zikir, saya suka 'Ya Latiff' berulang kali, kalau kebetulan Najihah menyusu, memang boleh sampai tertidur

3-Tengok Educational DVD
Alahai, kereta saya tak ada lah portable DVD ni, tak mampu. Tapi dengan handphone ku yang tak canggih mana, dengan gigih telah merakam dari lensa TV beberapa favourite show Najihah e.g;Jim Jam and Sunny and Alvin and the Chipmunk.

.
.
.

Tapi gambar ni paling best..

After a week ++

Hello mommies,

it’s been a while since my last post. I was in KL for 1 whole week of intensive training for searching and securing orphan source... Really pack, i don't even have time to view my bloggy :)

After about 1 week, najihah's 'chicky pox' is getting better, still got few dots here and there, but so much better that the first 3 days. I felt like crying when i bath her, because i know she's still don't understand about her skin condition. Anyhow, she continues on watching and laughing at her own face in front of the mirror, making funny faces to herself like usual… happy as babies always are. Such a strong girl! She don’t cry and get restless so much as I expected, and that is such a relief since I can’t attend to her needs last week because of the course that I’m attending (yeah…my hubby took care of that little precious of us).

Thanks a lot to all my friends who gave info and tips, online or offline. Doctor gave us calamine cream to use on najihah, to lessen the itchiness, but my hubby found and bought this ‘Hurix Calamine Lotion’ and lotion type is so much easier and friendlier to use. It cuts like 70% of my time when using cream type.

We’ve also manage to find the ‘daun semambu’ from Kak Long who was najihah’s caretaker before.

Other tips that I've got regarding tips on 'chicken pox';
i- Use the’ air rebusan daun semambu’ for a bath
ii- Use the ‘daun semambu’ to cover up the place where our child sleep
iii-Use pound rice to scrub the body so there will be no scar afterwards or otherwise use oats.
iv-Just use bio oil or any vitamin E lotion to helps the skins to heal faster.

Chicken Pox, what to do?? (y_y)

Any mommies got experienced with baby that's infected by chicken pox? (This is what normally happen to child that is sent to a nursery )

last night najihah got a fever, after giving her a medication, the fever has lessen this morning. During her morning bath, i've noticed few red bum on her back, face and hands, some contain fluids and some are lke pimples.

Go to the Doctor and its official-chicken pox is in the house!

So guys, i'm off for unwanted vacation to take care of my little princess-pity her.

**i've read that adding a bit of vinegar in a warm bath could lessen the itchyness

if any mommy could give me any tips regarding this, please do

p/s:sorry for a few missing 'i', my lappy's 'i' is sick too..uhuks..

Can you believe this girl?!

One moment she was being very nice, smiling and just standing there calling for the cat outside, pointing at the fish in the aquarium..

then, few seconds after that..

.

.

.

.

.

.

yeah... and I'm telling you she dare to go higher than that, that's why I'm so afraid to open the sliding door nowadays. The scariest part is... she just knows how to go up… but she don't know how to go down...OMG!

So, ok...I'm just gonna live in a box now.

P/s: Whenever Najihah shows her adventures and tough side, my mom always said… 'this is what happened when you so wanting a boy for a first child'

Oh mom… how I agree..

Najihah and 'Baby Einstein'

Najihah is one of Baby Einstein's big fan, she can sit very nicely in front of the lappy while enjoying her Baby Einstein evening dose.

***Please try to ignore the gediks voice of the cameraman ya... Thanks

The word I’ve been waiting for!

Exactly 1 year and 5 months, finally my Najihah can spill out the word that I’ve been waiting for so long

The word is ‘Ibu’

Normally she would just call me ‘mama’ or ‘maa’ and I keep persuading her to call me ‘ibuuu’,

Now, tailing me everywhere and kept saying “bu…bu...” as if she wants to tell me something.

Really…I’m so touch

The feeling is like listening the first word from our baby.

How Young Can A Baby Start Learning Martial Art

Whenever we say ‘Wachaa...’ in front of Najiha, her spontaneous action would be kicking like a Kung Fu heroin and repeat after us the ‘Wachaa..’ word… yeah you go girl!

Facing the reality of the world outside our door makes me and my hubby thinks that Martial art would be one of the best defence in life we could give to our child, with the priority of Islamic practice. I would love to send my baby for a martial art class... Don’t know what type yet… Maybe Silat? (Like Ibu & Ummi) or Karate? (like Mama) or maybe Taek Wan Do (like nenek) (^0^) but at what age she could even start?

Google for info and this is what I’ve found about what age is best to start

Many people have opinions on when is the best age to start Martial Arts, but how young should someone start Martial Arts? This is often a topic of debate among many Martial Artists.
At age 3 to 4- Rarely does a student start before the age of 3. In fact, rarely do many students start in this age range. There was a time when it was believed that one had to start this early. This is when the body just begins to form and starting this soon will keep the body nimble and fearless.
In fact, many Wu Shu programs in China begin to recruit students as early as 3. The success of these children at this age though highly depends upon the child. Some children are exceptional. A criteria that many teachers look for in such young students is:
(a) the ability to stand skill for more than a few minutes at a time;
(b) the ability to follow simple instructions; and
(c) the ability to mimic what is shown to them.
Teachers don't expect a lot from students at this age but it is often a joy to see the young toddlers perform. When to start Martial Arts is truly an individual or parental decision. It's never too late to start, but sometimes it's too early. Understanding your child and the reasons you want to join Martial Arts is an important component to picking what is the right age for your young one to begin.

So Mommies would you send your little precious to any martial arts class?

Nebulizer- The Experience

A nebulizer is a device used to administer medication to patient in the form of a mist inhaled into the lungs. It is commonly used in treating respiratory diseases.

Nebulizers accept their medicine in the form of a liquid solution, which is often loaded into the device upon use. Bronchodilators such as salbutamol (albuterol USAN) are often used. The reason they are inhaled instead of ingested is usually to target their effect to the respiratory tract, which speeds onset of action of the medicine and reduces side effects compared to other means of delivering these medicines.

Najihah had been treated by nebulizer for a few times. When she’s having flu, sometimes she would have phlegm and her chest would produce mild rattling sound. So when we bring her to the clinic, Doctor would suggest a ‘neb’ on her so that she could breathe easy. Not that Najihah has asthma and Doctor said we cannot diagnose Najihah with Asthma referring to only one episode but if it’s not treated it could lead to it. Nauzubillah…

This is picture of the liquid solution which then turns to mist to be inhaled by najihah

I never had a chance to take Najihah’s photo during the ‘nebulizing’ session because during this time she would be crying out loud, kicking and struggling to be free. Me and hubby would have to hold her tight... 1 vs. 2 and I’m telling you Najihah is quite strong when it comes to struggling. After that session the rattling sound would lessen and Najihah would have a good night sleep again.

The outcome of nebulizing trauma for Najihah- everytime she holds a cup, she would place it on her mouth and breath inside it...as if she was in the nebulizing session. Amboi laaa.. masa betul-betul punya session bukan main melawan.. I'll upload a photo whenever i could snap one.

Lepak Station

This is najihah latest lepak station; we just bought this chair last Friday for RM 49.00, fixed price, bargaining is no use… even though I’ve tried (I don’t know if this price is cheap or not).

Actually we pass this furniture store everyday on our way back home. Everyday my heart keeps saying that the chair is cute and I want it! (for najihah of course).

So, finally…we bought it. The chair is comfortable, stable and worth the money for me.

Najihah really likes this chair, she wouldn’t let anyone to sit on it.

This is where she would tonggang terbalik watching her nursery rhymes cd.

This is where she eats her treats.

This is where she would read her books.

Rest assured that this chair would not be another place for her to perform her acrobatic moves since she loves to climb chairs and stairs.

Najihah at the zoo

Last week on our way back to Kemaman after celebrating Aidil Adha at KL, we decided to visit the National Zoo.

I’m the one who’s kept asking my hubby to take us to the zoo, with hope that we can show najihah the real animal itself as what she always see in her animal board book.

We arrive there around 12 p.m., luckily because of this rainy season the day is a bit cloudy (not yet raining).

Najihah seems so astonished by the entire moving creatures she saw. I kept recalling back her memory about all the animals she saw in her books.

‘Najihah..that’s monkey..remember?’

‘Najihah… baby Hippo..cute kan..”

“Najihah.. tu giraffe.. ziiiraafah..”

“Najihah…tu elephant…see.. gaaajaah..”

So tired la become an unqualified tour guide.

But I think the visit was worth it, because I can see that najihah was excited and curious, somewhat scared to see big animals like elephant and giraffe closely.

The funny thing is, she kept twitching her fingers like calling the chicks/anak ayam...siap dengan bunyi-bunyi lagi dan bibir yang dimuncungkan. Even when she saw the big Hippo she did the same thing.

We finished the sightseeing at around 2.30 P.M and continue our journey to Kemaman. Najihah was so tired, she sleep right after she saw the cute baby hyppo... that is our last station. i bet she dreamt about the animals she just saw.

Here are a few pictures of Najihah during the tour
tweet..tweet..Hi Mr.Giraffe

peace... (seems like the mom yg posing lebih-lebih)

A cute baby Hippo who finanally came out of the pond

last but not least..

okay mom...i tried to smile a bit (anak dara ku dah mengantuk sangat..)
